Club Boats

The club maintains a selection of dinghies for use by any paid-up member.
They can be used at any time with the exception they must not be taken out in winds greater than 20 mph.
Please remember that the boats are a resource for the whole club and they should be treated with respect and looked after. However, it is well known that there will be wear and tear, things fall off and and breakages do happen for no apparent reason. It is therefore very important, to make sure that you report anything amiss on the " Club Boat Faults" Forum so that they can be fixed and made ready for the next time.
If you are using a club boat for independent sailing outside of safety-boat cover, make sure that you are Sailing Safely. In short, it is your decision alone whether it is safe to go out; if you are unsure, then it's not safe!
Booking
Club boats must be pre-booked
online here. Although bookings can be made on the day, it is recommended to book in advance, especially for any organised events when they are frequently at a premium.
Costs
The cost for using the club boats are:
Dinghy Type | Price | Comment |
---|---|---|

Hartley 12 | £7.50 | Can be sailed either single or double handed |
Single Hander | £5.00 | Laser, Topaz |

These prices are per boat not per person.
If booking a club boat for an organised event that then gets cancelled due to adverse weather or other reason then a full refund will be given.
