RYA Day Skipper Theory 2027

The cost is £230, including the RYA Day Skipper ePack. This is a substantial discount on the commercial rate, usually around £360.

Members only.

The Day Skipper Theory covers seamanship, coastal navigation and pilotage, chartwork, electronic charts, position fixing, plotting a course to steer, weather forecasting and meteorology, tides and collision regulations.

It is invaluable for learning how to start making decisions on board and if you are considering taking the Day Skipper practical course.

RYA Information about the course

Payment & refunds

You must pay for the course when you book. If you wish to cancel your booking after 1 November, TSC will only refund your payment if we have met our minimum number of 9 required attendees.

Please ensure that you can make ALL of the dates for the course before booking.

Waiting list

If you sign up on the waiting list, we will contact you if a space comes available.

Minimum participants

We need a minimum of 9 people to take part in order to cover the costs. In the unlikely event that we don't have enough people by the end of November we will cancel the course and refund the fees.

Non-members

If after the 1st December we have spare spaces, these will be offered to non-Members.
