Upcoming Events

Following on from last nights Club Social a brief recap on the events that are happening a the club as we approach the start of the 2025 season. But, first a huge thank you to the 60+ members who supported the working party. So much was achieved ranging from blatantly obvious tasks, balcony, repair to the fence to the not obvious yet still important clearing of drainage ditches, untangling the cats cradle of dinghy trot chains and a huge raft in between. Onto looking forwards.

Duties

As we approach he season there is always the ever popular topic of duties. Again thanks to those that have already volunteered we are almost down to less than 100 duties to be filled. If you are required to carry out duties please volunteer by 13 March after which our new Duties GK will have the unpleasant task of allocating.

Sail Training

We are running an RYA Level 1 & 2 course in March / April. The bulk of the course will be run out of All-Aboard Water-sports in Bristol harbour, sandwiched between sessions at the club.

Safety Boat Training

Have you volunteered for safety boat duties or are you thinking about it?

Do you know how to safely recover an unconscious casualty from the water or rescue an inverted dinghy with the mast stuck in the mud? If not then the TSC Safety Boat Course is for you. It covers all relevant aspects of he RYA Safety Boat course and is free to club members.

Season Starts

The season starts on 5 April with Spring 1 & 2. It is an excellent opportunity to see how much your wetsuit and BA has shrunk over the winter, catch up with other club members and blow out the cobwebs.

Following on from the sailing we will recognise the achievements of club members for the 2024 season with the Club Prize-giving. Please support and congratulate all award winners.

As is tradition with the club, the start of the season is marked with the Anchors Aweigh Supper which will follow on from Prize Giving.
